Wait, Batman doesn’t possess a white lantern ring. Didn’t it reject him? Also, this is amazing.
Hrm… A quick revelation reveals that this is true. The problem with Batman is that he does his own thing so much he could never be a part of a corps. Which is a shame, because if he got a Green Lantern ring he could put Hal Jordan to shame.
The Batman Test
So this is a theory I’ve been kicking around for a while, because I think it’s a good one.
The idea is that there needs to be a universal test of badassery, one single trial we can run a character through to determine just how awesome they are.
The best solution I’ve come up with is the Batman Test. You see, the thing is that Batman actual has ludicrous amounts of dakka at his disposal. But he never uses it all at once. The Justice League satellite, chunks of Kryptonite, a powered suit similar to the Iron Man suit. Why don’t we ever see him bring it all to bear at once? Well, to quote the great “Hawk-Eye” Mihawk: “You don’t use a cannon to hunt rabbits.” Against a street thug he’ll utilize basic martial arts, against the Joker he uses his gadgets, against Superman he will use a pre-developed plan. The test therefore essentially pits the character against a skilled opponent using a similar level of raw power at their disposal. Against stronger opponents, prepared information will be gathered. Batman is also intelligent, but can be misdirected, so a character with guile but no combat skills can also be tested.
If you are automatically thinking of yourself, don’t worry. The average person’s time on the Batman Test would be seconds. Lasting as long as a minute is pretty spectacular feat. Any longer than that and you’ve officially moved up a tier.
What if somebody beats Batman? They are officially god-tier.
Land of Light and Rain
Rose groaned slightly. Her head was pounding and every step was painful. Why did it have to be the land of LIGHT of all things? Then again… that was rather obvious now that she thought about it.
Terezi stood beside her, walking along. She didn’t appear to be suffering quite the same effects, but she was quiet and plaintive. Rose glanced her over and she thought about what she should say.
“I… um…” Rose started, but closed her mouth, unsure of herself.
Terezi glanced over her. Her voice was subdued, a far cry from her normal demeanor. “Yeah, me too, I guess.”
They stood, looking out over the seas. Rose reached out and gently took the troll’s hand. Terezi squeezed hers tightly.
Please ignore this. This is only for utility.
Though if you ARE interested, pay attention to the subtle difference in proportion between Twilight and Twilicorn.
Fuck yeah, internal accuracy.
hero-of-nope:
Hussie should be Chaotic Evil
This bothers me a great deal. For one thing, John is most DEFINITELY a Neutral Good, while he can really easily just switch positions with Kanaya. Kanaya’s idea of upholding good is removing conflicts and establishing basic rules, and her desire to auspistice factors into this a whole lot. John, on the other hand, is firmly in the “dick around in the name of good”. In fact, his lack of desires for constraints is emphasized by his quote, and he is most definitely a Neutral Good.
Lord English, on the other hand, is very much pragmatic and villainous. He will utilize rules when they benefit him and utilizes chaos when it benefits him. He has a group of loyal followers with a strict hierarchy, but then will destroy dream bubbles. He’s very much a Neutral Evil.
Jack just wants to kill shit. In fact, he’s so chaotic he decided he had to calm down before he ran out of things to kill. Definitely a Chaotic Evil.
I’m not sure how I feel about Terezi as Lawful Good, but I’ll let Loree be the judge of those ones.
reblogging for self-bookmarking, cuz I like this
And I like you, random citizen!
3. What’s your favorite color?
Yellow. Because I’ve been colorblind all my life but I’ve always been able to tell yellow from most other colors (the one exception being a few select shades of green).
11. Describe the way you dress in one sentence.
I’ll do you better and describe it one word: convenient.
23. What is art?
Art is the process of creation.
28. Is there good in everyone?
Yes. Even the worst person has done something good in their life, consciously and willingly. Therefore, there is good in everyone.
32. What’s the first thing you notice about someone?
Voices are really important to me. I can judge people completely by their voices, and it accounts for about 60% of my physical attraction to a person.
Your trapped to be with a person CONSTANTLY in a house together for ten years but imediately afterwards you have to kill them: someone you like or dislike?
Somebody I dislike. Because when I dislike somebody my reaction goes to “ignore them, they are not worth it”. And then, if the person selected is bad enough that I will dislike them for ten FUCKING YEARS, they will be a bad enough person that their death is rendered more palatable, if not easy for me.
