The specific country of Wales? The one that was largely assimilated by Britain in the 15th century? The one that I am technically descended from, but can’t even consider myself descended from because of how obscure it is in America?
Yeah, I’ll go with the beautiful, interesting, powerful, massive, entirely unique form of a life over an arbitrary political boundary any day.
Pre-destination. It makes sense in a concise sort of way.
If I go back in time, then me going back in time has already occurred, then I have already affected the time stream. Furthermore, the loop is already accounted for: it makes sense because I set the loop in motion whether I meant to or not. Furthermore, I kind of hate time travel as a bullshit method of plot resolution, and the fact that the nature of the timelines is never really explained.
Granted, I’m actually much more of a wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey guy, but I’ll take what I can get, I s'pose.
Cronus. I dislike him more, but I’ll take scumbag over violent petty mass murderer any day.
Sanji is a pretty cool guy, don’t get me wrong. But, at the same time his tendency to go gooey over any girl is charming at some times and grating at others. Zoro can be annoying, but even his annoyance is kind of funny, so I’m definitely going to have to vote Zoro for this one.
Plus, I’m sightly afraid Zoro might just leap through my computer screen and murderkill me if I don’t say I like him more.

At this moment, I just had something really sweet, so I’m leaning towards steak to cancel it out.
In general, unless I can get steak down in a unique fashion (steak sandwich, pot roast, meatloaf, ribs) pizza is a definite champion.
One last post about all this nonsense: The filler characters are really annoying.
Regular Luffy is a slow, well-meaning, kind-hearted soul who is very hungry in just about every regard and a little bit goofy. Filler Luffy is a douchebag dumbass who only thinks about his own stomach.
Regular Zoro is a grumpy, hardworking cynic who wants to be the best swordsman and recognizes the crew’s skill but can be annoyed by their quirks. Filler Zoro is a douchebag who shouts at every spare annoyance and sleeps all the time.
Regular Nami is a money-loving pirate thief and navigator who likes money but not at the cost of human life. Filler Nami is a greedy douchebag who will rip anyone off at any cost, and/or some ludicrously wise person with knowledge about everything.
Regular Usopp is a guy with a desire to be a really great warrior but at the same time needs to balance this with his own lack of strength and is conflicted by his cowardice. Filler Usopp is a douchebag coward who puts off work at any cost and lies to make himself seem like the most amazing person REALLY badly.
Regular Sanji is a calm, confident guy with a penchant for the ladies and a passion to be a great person. Filler Sanji is a douchebag who only cares about women and will throw every under the bus in order to get a shot at one.
It happens in a lot of series, yeah, everyone has their off moments of characterization (I’m looking at you, Act 6 John), but with no series has the divide ever been quite so jarring or black and white then with One Piece, where it seems like they are either deep, interesting characters or one-dimension caricatures of these characters.
These ones are surprisingly easy, to be honest.
Luffy is such a Page of Breath. He just kind of floats past everything. He literally walked away from crucial backstory because he legitimately did not give a fuck. And he empowers others to overcome their limitations and hard pasts, a useful skill in One Piece where EVERYONE HAS A TRAGIC BACKSTORY.
Zorro is a Prince of Life. He works continuously, almost all the time, to get better. But, at the same time, he started off with a tendency to just kind of spin his wheels because he could only focus on how to work harder and harder when we’ve seen from people like Mihawk that it takes more than just that to be the world’s greatest swordsman. However, he keeps pushing ahead at all costs.
Nami is a Thief of Mind. She focuses on presenting herself in a certain way to get her way. In order to control Sanji, she presents herself as loving in orderr to give him the idea that something could happen. She’s also very good at understanding people’s habits and using them against them. The Thief part is rather obvious: she steals everything she can, and she will take using people’s Mind often.
Usopp I had previously thought was a Doom player, but I’m realigning him as a Mage of Void. He uses obscurity, lies, and cowardice in order to win, but at the same time he is aware that he does this and guides himself accordingly, and his quest is even to overcome his submission and be a brave warrior of the sea. (Note to self: check out the quality of that translation.)
Sanji: Sanji’s aspect is incredibly easy: he’s a Heart player, through and through. He works with passion and creativity, won’t attack women because he loves them too much, and never doubts who he is for a second. Class is a bit harder, but I’m tempted to say Heir, because of how driven he is by Heart at times, and how he can rather easily change people’s hearts, especially those of his enemies. So it’s a bit shaky, but Heir of Heart seems like his Classpect.
Chopper: Rogue of Doom. Everything about Chopper deals with moving around possibility and what a person is capable of. When he heals people, he is often removing Doom to allow a person to grow back to strength, or he is giving them Doom in order to force them to heal. Also consider that he is continuously at odds with Zorro when it comes to medicine, Life vs. Doom. So Rogue of Doom, yeah?
Nico Robin just joined up with the crew where I’m at, so I don’t have enough info yet to Classpect her. I suspect, however, that she is a more destructive Aspect, which means the next person after that will probably be more constructive in order to balance her out.
So, I’ve been watching a lot of One Piece, and one thing pisses me off above all: the body types. I mean, for the woman it’s bad enough, but even the men are ludicrously tall on average, and so homogeneous it drives me to tears. As a result, I’m taking a Homestuck approach to it, where it is all representative and not necessarily indicative of their appearance.
Luffy, I think, is really short. By the show’s standards he’s already pretty short, but at 5’ 8" he’s actually about average. I think of him, then, as more like 5’ 4", but he’s really not too sensitive about it. He would also be really fat if it weren’t for his abilities, which leads me to believe that they consume a whole load of energy. Non-filler Luffy is never totally brain dead, which leads me to believe there’s some reason that he’s so hungry all the time.
Zoro is probably around average height, and very very muscular. I mean, the dude is crazy strong, and unlike Luffy, he’s mostly human which means that he can’t just pull amazing strength from nowhere: that’s the result of lots of hard work (not to imply that Luffy hasn’t worked hard, but he worked harder at bringing out his strength, and less on building it up).
Nami I imagine as actually being really short. She actually very rarely get comments on her looks (except for girl-crazy Sanji), so I don’t think that’s she's that attractive. However, she’s probably got a relatively nice rack, based on the “happiness punch” and what she charged for it. So probably of about average build, except a bit shorter (about as short as Luffy, about 5’ 4" or 5’ 3").
Usopp is probably a bit on the short side, 5’ 7" or so. I also imagine him as a little bit pudgy, but not incredibly so, because it’s more based on lack of excercise than genetics or anything, just a bit of fat that hangs around. However, is frame is naturally really really thin anyways, so it usually goes unnoticed.
Sanji, on the other hand, is string-bean thin. Because his fighting style is way more about agility, he’s got very toned, relatively small muscles that do not bulge almost at all. He’s also easiest the tallest of the crew, 6'1" or 6’ 2"..He also spends the most time on grooming, even moroe than Nami, so his hair is always perfect.
I don’t have anything for Chopper or Nico Robin. Maybe more for Nico Robin later, but nothing yet.
