SOMEONE ACTUALLY EXPLAINED HOMESTUCK TO ME.

Infinitywhale: Teaching Consent since Ages.

Okay, its one thing to joke about this, because yes, it seems like a such a silly thing to ask permission and get consent before classifying someone under a hypothetical system devised in a video game in a web comic.

But realistically, what you are doing is using a series of ideas to psychonalyze a person to get an incredible idea of who they are. And if they don’t know about it, fine, then its just you using what info you have to classify them in a system in your head, as long as you don’t try and tie them to it too forcefully. But if you need to ask questions, it is only fair that you get their permission first, so they have an idea of what you are doing. And don’t pester them. If they say no, their opinion has been stated.

Talk to them about it all you want. That’s cool. That’s giving them information. But their word is final. No means no, even in Classpect.

Hope: Life is a massive ocean with no bounds and everything imaginable in its depths.
Light: Life is a river that has twists and turns that go every which way, but is ultimately chartable and understandable if you pay attention.
