This is probably going to sound really dumb, but so far you are the only other person I have seen into homestuck and mass effect, (besides my boyfriend and I.) So I was wondering if you ever considered doing classpect speculation for any of the Mass Effect characters? I would get why you wouldn't because there are a lot of characters but you know what you are talking about and I thought it would be kind of cool! Keep rocking regardless!
“Alright, well my thing is that Shepard does indeed need those people around them, but they do more than that. Every character they meet grows and becomes more powerful (except for Jacob). They inspire people to change, to improve themself. Garrus goes from a discontent cop to first Space Batman and then a general of Palaven. Liara becomes the Shadow Broker, the survivor becomes the next Human spectre, Wrex becomes the leader of all Krogans. Furthermore, while both Renegade and Paragon do vault rules sometimes, it is never because of a fixation on them, but rather a desire to help things out, regardless of whether or not the rules are there, more of a Neutral Good then a Lawful or Chaotic Good, for either of them. As a result, Life is more of Shepard’s aspect, the way she thinks and what she does, rather than Blood, because although she’s a soldier, in all three backstories it was so she could improve herself, and that defines her more than the neccesity (or lack thereof) of rules in her mind.
In essence, she understands growth. She uses it, focuses it, and helps others do the same.
For these reasons, I posit she is a Page of Life.”

The Philosophy of Classpect
Classpect is a schema. As a result, it tends to subjectivity and, indeed ,unfalsifiability. However, it has at least one advantage that other schema do not: Classpect was not designed around people, but rather around reality and the vectors that people move through in it in order to accomplish their tasks. As a result, Classpect tends to have pieces that everyone can relate to or talk about. Everyone has a Heart and a Mind. The core concept of personal identity versus how people act is something that everyone can relate to. Furthermore, it tends to gravitate towards reality in the way that people see it. This is different from many notable schema in that people already consider reality in this way. No one things of reality as the singular atoms and things that compose, except perhaps Space players, but that is because Space is purely composed of such things. As a result, it is entirely possible that reality can be expressed through all of the Aspects simultaneously. That is, Heart could view the entire world as in relation to their person and their soul, while a Time player sees everything as causation and realization, while a Hope player only sees it as the infinite possibilities that exist, and Rage narrows their view of the Universe to only suit their needs. However, very few, if any, people see the world in this sort of idea. More likely is that everyone has bits and pieces available of their aspect intermingled with others, forming a sort of hierarchy. Regardless of this, though, everyone has an Aspect that defines them. It could simply be that this is the most important Aspect in their etiology, but more likely it is that is the Aspect that is most important in their etiology as a result of it defining them. Even in Homestuck this is evident: Vriska is an incredibly cruel character, but her knowledge, intelligence, and understanding of probability really make her who she is, which is why Light, despite being an aspect of balance and helpfulness is the one that is her more than anything. On the other hand we have John, who as an Heir, has his Aspect define him more than anything, and yet still has plenty of character apart from that. The reason that characters can deviate so much from the expect meanings of their Aspects because of the Class, which is the lesser, but more defining art of a person’s character. Class shows how you interact with what you see. Aspect shows you what is, Class allows you to act. Vriska, again, for example, as a Thief of Light, sees the world in terms of probabilities and information, especially since luck doesn’t really matter. However, the Thief is a huge part of what makes her who she is. Not simply seeing the information, she wants to take it. Not simply taking the information, she wants to have it so that other cannot have it as well. This makes sense within this scheme, because a character can usually easily see the importance of their Aspect, such as Jake with his understanding of hope and ability to explain to Caliborn how important it is to function as a person, even if Caliborn didn’t really appreciate the message behind it. So, Vriska could easily tell what the importance was, which meant that she naturally didn’t want everyone to have it. Its an understandable response: if a resource is valuable, one of your first responses is going to keep it out of the hands of people you find dangerous and especially enemies. So Vriska, understanding the importance and value, wants it for herself, and more than that, she is capable of taking it as she sees necessary. Thus the interaction is born: worldview dominated by an Aspect, action taken in order to affect that world in a manner considered positive to the action taker. This is part of the reason why it is so hard to create any sort of “stable” test in order to determine Classpect: people’s worldview is one of the most complex parts of them, mixed all together with dozens of little bits and pieces and in general, madness. Then, you have to take this complex, multilevel and multiform worldview and decide how all these things cause them to act. Whats more, you have to distill the essence of their actions and choices and desires, removing the personality from it, and decide from it what makes them choose actions, and what these actions do.
